Patrick Cormier, since April 2011, is the Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Centre for Court Technology (CCCT-CCTJ). He also heads Government 2.0 Think Tank Inc. (“G2TT”). G2TT specializes in providing advice to governments on information management. The emphasis is to facilitate the deployment of web 2.0 solutions in compliance with legislation, regulations, policies and directives. In its advice, G2TT links all facets of information management, including: Information Technology, Records Management, Access to Information, Privacy, Copyright, Knowledge Management, support to governmental operations and library services.

Mr. Cormier is a regular conference speaker on social media and the law, and provides from time to time continuous legal education to judges across the country under the auspices of the National Judicial Institute.

Prior to this, Mr Cormier completed 20 years in the Canadian Forces, first as a Signals Officer and next as a military lawyer in the Office of the Judge-Advocate General.

He holds a Bachelor of Space Sciences from Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean (B.Sc., 1992), a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University (B.C.L./LL.B., 2001). He is a member of the Québec Bar since 2002.
