“This tool automatically adds hyperlinks in your document to legislative and case law citations corresponding to materials posted on the CanLII website. This funtionnality is powered by Lexum’s LexHub, the same technology that is used to add hyperlinks within CanLII’s decisions.”

Users should read the terms of use and privacy policy. For example, the permitted uses term indicates that there is limitation on the volume of hyperlinking available free.

This is a great tool and it is good that CanLII and Lexum have made it available.

“The Canadian Citation Committee is an ad hoc group formed to support the standardization efforts of the Judges Technology Advisory Committee (JTAC) of the Canadian Judicial Council (CJC). The members volunteer their time to produce useful standards for the Canadian legal community.”
