“Like” Buttons Create a Digital Trail of Activity on the Web

Interesting post on SLAW notes that the “Like,” “Tweet” and other social buttons on some webpages automatically forwards information about your visit to the page (even if you don’t use the button). Organizations such as Lexum are offering alternative pages without these buttons, but concerned users may wish to use the “private browsing” setting or one of the browser plug-ins mentioned in the article and comments.
